It might fill you with dread even thinking about it and you are probably especially concerned with what it might cost to get a website built. So, understandably, you’re looking for affordable website design for small business, right? Well let’s cut to the chase shall we?

My bespoke build service is the most popular so here’s a bit more detail about what you get for this price.
Included in this price is:
Brand consultation - I will talk to you about your company identity and help you to craft your logo if needed; I’ll then create a style guide for the website which can be used across all your digital media.
Customer journey mapping - we will work together on a diagram which will map what your ideal customer needs at various stages of their buying journey and what that means for your website design.
Site wireframe or architecture - this is a fancy way of saying a basic diagram of what the site needs to contain; what pages, in which order, what images and words and so on.
Site build - my sites are built on Squarespace* - I do this because they are always beautiful and quick to build and super-easy for clients to manage. Have a look at some I built.
Content upload and creation - I will upload all the content for up to 10 pages (additional pages by negotiation), creating new content as needed and selecting appropriate stock images or your own images to suit the needs and the styling of the site.
Search engine optimisation - all pages and images will be tagged appropriately to help get your site to the top of Google rankings and all Squarespace sites are optimised for mobile viewing - an important part of SEO. Note that pro-SEO is priced separately, contact me to discuss your needs.
Domain services - I will either purchase a new domain on your behalf or will transfer your existing domain to your new website (note that all Squarespace sites come with a free domain for the first year and they usually cost about £10 a year after that).
Social media linking - I will link all your social media to the new site. If you’d like help with setting up new social media accounts I can do this but it’s extra.
Testing and launching - I will test all pages and links before going live and will provide you with advice on how to drive traffic to the site.
Training and support - I will provide you with free training (one person) around two weeks after the site is live so that you feel confident to manage your site yourself. I also create videos to help with this. And my support lasts for life! Yes, as long as I am an admin on your site I will help you fix any glitches that arise at no cost. I can offer this because it so rarely happens!
I can provide additional services but this is usually fine for most start-ups who are looking for a cost-effective website that works really well and is up and running quickly..
The only extra cost to be aware of is the cost of hosting and with Squarespace this starts at £144 a year. This is sufficient for most small businesses but if you have additional needs (such as email marketing, scheduling or e-commerce add-ons, these are extra). This is comparable to most hosting services.
I build exceptionally quickly - so for the entire cost of £1344 - you can be up and running in under two weeks!
